القوة الذهنية هي أكبر من كونك على عتبة ألم كبير، مع الكثير من الصبر والقدرة على الابتسامة والتحمل لتجاوز ذلك الألم.

في العام الماضي كنت قد كتبت عن بحث موستاس ورفاقه في المملكة المتحدة، البحث الذي أوضح أن هنالك ارتباطاً بدرجة كبيرة بين القوة الذهنية والفرص الضئيلة للإصابة بالاكتئاب، مع أفضلية للتأقلم مع التوتر.

موستاس فتح عيني على إسهام بيتر كلوف، الذي ميز القوة الذهنية بأربع خصائص داخلية لكنها مستقلة في ذات الوقت، والتي أطلق عليها مصطلح “نموذج التاءات الأربع” للقوة الذهنية.

ما هي الخصائص الأربعة للقوة الذهنية؟ كلوف عرف نموذج التاءات الأربع للقوة الذهنية بأنها عناصر مستقلة لكنها مترابطة، وهي العناصر التي تبدأ بالحرف “ت”، متمثلة في: ” التحدي”، ويرمز للنظر إلى المخاطر المحدقة على أنها فرص للتطور والتمكن، و”التعهد” الذي يعكس الإصرار تجاه الأهداف رغم العوائق والمصاعب، و”التحكم” الذي يتضمن ضبط المشاعر وتقنيات التأقلم مع التوتر، وأخيراً “التحلي بالثقة”.

إن استبانة القوة الذهنية الـ 18 هو مقياس مختصر للقوة الذهنية، وهي مبني على المقياس الأطول له ذي الـ 48 بنداً، والتي تستمد جذورها من الخصائص الأربعة للقوة الذهنية. 

العناصر الـ 10 لاستبيان القوة الذهنية:

1 . أبقى بالعادة هادئاً حتى مع كوني تحت ضغط كبير

2 . أميل للقلق بخصوص أشياء قبل أن تحصل

3 . يصعب عليَّ بالعادة أن أستدعي الحماس للمهام التي يتوجب عليَّ تنفيذها

4 . أتأقلم بشكل جيد بشكل عام مع أية مشكلة تحدث لي

5 . أجد نفسي بالعموم شخصاً جديراً بالاهتمام

6 . “أنا لا أعرف من أين أبدأ”. هذا شعور أجده لدي عادة عندما يكون هنالك العديد من الأشياء التي يتوجب عليَّ أن أفعلها  

7 . عندما أرتكب أخطاء فإنها تجعلني أشعر بالقلق بشأنها لأيام تاليةٍ           

8 . أشعر أني متحكم بنفسي عموماً            

9 . أنا قادر عموماً على التصرف بسرعة عندما يحدث أمر غير متوقع 

10 . أنظر للجانب المشرق في الحياة بشكل عام
